Eco-friendly concrete additive

A multifunctional additive that densifies, waterproofs and strengthens concrete. One product that replaces multiple traditional additives.

+23% compressive strength
-52% cracking
>300 freeze/thaw cycles
-10% cement possible*

* Strength gains and cement reduction are mutually exclusive options.

The origin of the additive

Originally developed for integral waterproofing of concrete, this additive was designed to address the challenges of harsh weather conditions.

Its initial goal was to limit ice crystal formation by keeping water evenly distributed during pouring, thus preventing structural damage caused by freezing.

Over time, its unique properties revealed benefits well beyond freeze protection. By acting as a hydration stabilizer, it promotes better water retention in the mix.

An essential additive

This additive has become essential for projects where performance, durability and structural integrity are priorities.

How the additive works

Advanced crystalline technology for high-performance concrete

Added to the mix

20 oz per m3 of concrete. Added last, after water and other components.

Crystallization

Chemical reaction creates a dense crystalline structure filling the capillaries.

Densified concrete

Extremely dense, waterproof and resistant matrix. Self-sealing of cracks.

The 4 pillars of benefits

Time optimization

  • Lifespan +3h in a concrete mixer
  • Coating from day 8 (vs 28 days)
  • Accelerated hardening before 28 days

Performance and strength

  • Compressive strength +23%
  • Resistance >300 cycles freeze/thaw
  • Water vapor transmission -51%
  • Cement reduction -10% at equal strength*

Defect reduction

  • Shrinkage cracks -52%
  • Superior controlled hydration
  • Self-sealing of capillaries

Protection and durability

  • Protection against calcium chloride
  • Prevents rebar rust
  • Resistant to carbonation
  • Reduces radon gas
  • Low VOC - eco-friendly

Case study: hot load management

A mixer truck was loaded at 1:05 PM, but pouring didn't start until between 4:15 and 4:30 PM. The slab was finished at 5:30 PM, with an outside temperature of about 60F.

The customer had ordered 9 yards too many. This concrete was transported to another site after 3 hours in the mixer truck - a "hot load". It was used to pour a footing that wasn't placed and finished until 6:15 PM.

Normally, such a delay would have caused major problems, making the concrete difficult or impossible to work with. Yet, thanks to this additive, it remained workable well beyond the usual time.

The contractor was able to clean his truck after 5h30 in the mixer without difficulty.

13h05 Mixer loaded
16h15 Pouring started
17h30 Slab completed (site 1)
18h15 Footing completed (site 2)
18h35 Easy cleanup
